Dear Board member,

Thank you for being willing to contribute your valuable time to serve with us on the School of Indic Studies (SIS) of Institute of Advanced Sciences (INADS) Board of Advisors. The office of the President of Institute of Advanced Sciences (INADS), on behalf of School of Indic Studies (SIS) staff, welcome you to the Board of Advisors of SIS. We are very pleased to have you our organization and expecting great things from you.

In April 2013, Dr. Bal Ram Singh, President of INADS spared his own efforts to establish INADS. His main idea was to promote education in true sense which will be amalgamation of research and theoretical knowledge. To achieve these objective, two separate departments was established, a) Botulinum Research Center (BRC), and b) School of Indic Studies (SIS). The BRC is major academic and research unit of INADS, whereas SIS offer interdisciplinary scholarly program related to science, culture and traditions, arts, philosophy, and religions.

As a board of SIS, our team need to focus regularly on the long term strategic planning, identify specific tasks needed to fulfill the mission and vision for the future, setting goals, and suggest necessary action steps. Funding and financial planning is our board’s next major responsibility. Policy development and approval/modification of policies will be our third priority.

As a member of the Board of Advisors of SIS, you will also be expected to serve on different committees within the board structure. The committee memberships will be more clearly defined time to time, as needed, during the Board meeting. You are also expected to bring you valuable experiences to the table and help fulfilling the mission of INADS.

During the year, we will usually have at least two (2) or possibly more Board meetings including annual meeting. All the Board members are expected to attend all the meetings. In exceptional case, the President’s office will make necessary arrangements. The meeting’s location and further information will be announced in a formal notice to Board members.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call either Dr. Bal Ram Singh (508-992-2042) or Hollie Jones (508-989-5016). We are looking forward to your participation and contribution to SIS.

Thank you for joining us.  Welcome to our team.

Sincerely,

Bal Ram Singh, Ph.D
