About me
Dr. Pooja Agarwal is a biomedical scientist focused on cellular microbiology and host-pathogen dynamics. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) in Lucknow, India, studying the role of adipose tissue in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) latency and reactivation. During her postdoctoral work at the University of Cape Town, she researched Mtb persistence in foamy macrophages and the pharmacodynamics of anti-tubercular agents. Before joining KSAS, she was a Research Fellow in the Monash-Warwick Antimicrobial Resistance Program at the University of Warwick, UK, where her research involved nanoparticle drug delivery for intracellular Mtb and circadian modulation of Staphylococcus aureus invasion in epithelial cells.
